THAT the agenda for the October 23, 2024 Regular Council meeting be accepted with the addition of an item under 9.5 - Town Manager - Newsletter

THAT the minutes of the October 9, 2024 Regular meeting of Council be approved as presented.

THAT Schedule of Accounts numbered 17-2024 in the amount of $134,368.69 be approved for payment.

THAT Council receive the report entitled "Town Manager's Report - 10232024" as presented.

THAT the Notice of Disruption of Services Policy, as amended, be approved by Council.

THAT the Video Surveillance Policy be put on "Unfinished Business"

THAT Council receive the policy entitled "Main Street Parking" as presnted.

THAT staff look at areas where traffic needs to be slowed down; AND FURTHER THAT staff look at the costing of the various implications.

THAT a letter be drafted to our MPP regarding the increase in OPP billing and advocating for all municipalities in Ontario.

THAT Council accept the newsletter as presented and if any Council member has anything to add, they contact staff prior to noon on Thursday, Page 3 of 4 Regular Council October 23, 2024 FURTHER THAT the newsletter be put in mailboxes, on social media and that paper copies be placed at the Town Hall, library and arena

THAT the minutes of the June 4, 2024 and September 10, 2024 Deseronto Public Library board meetings be received.

THAT Council rise at 7:25 pm, under Section 239 of the Municipal Act and move into Closed Session to discuss 2 matters; 1 under 2(e) litigation or potential litigation, including matters before administrative tribunals, affecting the municipality or local board and 1 under 2(f) advice that is subject to solicitor- client privilege, including communications necessary for that purpose.

THAT staff follow the direction of Council as discussed in Closed Session.

THAT By-law 41-2024, being a by-law to confirm the proceedings of the October 23, 2024 Council meeting, having been read a first, second and third time, be assigned a number and finally passed this 23rd day of October 2024.
