Regular Council

THAT the agenda for the January 22, 2025 Regular Council meeting be accepted as presented.

THAT the minutes of the January 8, 2025 Regular meeting of Council be approved as presented.

THAT Schedule of Accounts numbered 02-2025 in the amount of $267,882.53 be approved for payment.

THAT the Clerk's report entitled "2024 Santa Claus Parade" be received by Council FURTHER THAT the Deseronto Santa Claus parade will be held yearly on the fourth Saturday of November; AND FURTHER THAT the time will be confirmed in late summer.

THAT the Clerk's report entitled '2025 Family Day' be received.

THAT the Clerk's report entitled "Traffic By-Law Review" be received; FURTHER THAT the overnight parking times be changed to 1:00 am - 7:00 am AND FURTHER THAT staff bring the revised by-law back to the next meeting of Council with details of the changeover.

THAT the Treasurer's report entitled "Reserve and Reserve Fund Balances" be received by Council

THAT the Acting Fire Chief's report entitled "Fire Protection Grant Funding for Cancer Prevention Initiatives" be received by Council. AND FURTHER THAT staff ensure that the Fire Department is allowing for a separate female shower area and that the project meets Accessibility Requirements.

Page 3 of 4 Regular Council January 22, 2025 THAT the December 2024 report from the Building Inspections Services Board be received.

THAT the December 2024 report from the By-Law Enforcement Services Board be received; AND FURTHER THAT Council would like a breakdown on Patrols.

THAT prior to altering the by-law, Council would like to see s definition of "Nuisance Inspections" inserted into the by-law.

THAT Council has no objection to the Application for Consent File No. B133/24.

THAT Council rise at 7:24 pm, under Section 239 of the Municipal Act and move Page 4 of 4 Regular Council January 22, 2025 into Closed Session to discuss 3 matters; 1 under 2(b) personal matters about an identifiable individual, including municipal or local board employees, 1 under 2(e) litigation or potential litigation, including matters before administrative tribunals, affecting the municipality or local board and 1 under 2(f) advice that is subject to solicitor-client privilege, including communications necessary for that purpose.

THAT staff follow the direction of Council as discussed in Closed Session.

THAT By-law 07-2025, being a by-law to confirm the proceedings of the January 22, 2025 Council meeting, having been read a first, second and third time, be assigned a number and finally passed this 22nd day of January 2025.
