THAT the agenda for the October 15, 2025 Special Council meeting be accepted.

THAT Council receive the delegation from the students of Deseronto Public School regarding suggestions to improve and expand the communication methods used by the Municipality.

THATCouncil receive the correspondence and presentation from the students of Deseronto Public School; AND FURTHER THAT staff be directed to review the requests and provide a report back to Council outlining potential actionable items and next steps in response to the students’ suggestions.

THAT Council receive the correspondence and presentation from the students of Deseronto Public School; AND FURTHER THAT Council direct staff to review the recommendations and report back to Council on potential actionable items and initiatives to improve youth employment opportunities within the Town of Deseronto.

THAT Council receive the Regular Council Meeting Minutes of September 24, 2025, as presented.

THAT the Schedule of Accounts in the amount of $ 466,291.39 be approved for payment, as presented.

THAT Council confirm the date for the 2025 Fall Leaf Cleanup in the Town of Deseronto to take place during the week beginning November 17, 2025.

THAT Council receive the Third Quarter Report of the Deseronto Fire Department, as presented; AND FURTHER THAT Council request that the Fire Department provide a report outlining the certification and qualification levels of its members, including details on the equipment each member is authorized to operate and the training requirements associated with their respective positions.

THAT Council receive the Building Inspection Services Report from September 2025, as presented.

THAT Council receive the By-Law Enforcement Services Board report for September 2025, as presented.

THAT Council receive the letter from Honourable Michael S. Kerzner regarding the OPP Billing.

THAT Council direct the Treasurer to seek clarification on the financial impact of the proposed O.P.P. cost increases to the Town and prepare a report outlining the anticipated implications.

THAT Council receive the Eastern Ontario Regional Network (EORN) September 2025 Cell Gap Report, as presented.

THAT Council receive the report regarding the 2025 Santa Claus Parade; AND FURTHER THAT Council confirm the parade date as the 4th Saturday in November (November 22, 2025) start time of 5:30 p.m. to facilitate a Parade of Lights for the Deseronto Santa Claus Parade.

THAT By-law 55-2025, being a by-law to confirm the proceedings of the Special Council meeting, having been read a first, second and third time, be assigned a number and finally passed this 15th day of October 2025.

THAT the October 15, 2025 Special Council meeting be adjourned.
